Alumawood solid covers offer a practical and durable solution for full-shade outdoor structures. Made from aluminum with a textured woodgrain finish, they provide the look of wood without the maintenance issues like rotting, warping, or termite damage. These covers fully block out the sun, making them ideal for patios, seating areas, or any outdoor space where complete shade is preferred.
They’re available in both non-insulated and insulated panel options. For most open-air setups, non-insulated panels are more than sufficient—the airflow beneath the cover keeps the area cool, and any temperature difference is only noticeable within the top 12 inches. Insulated panels become more relevant if the structure is enclosed or if impact resistance is a concern, such as in areas near golf courses. At about four inches thick, insulated panels are much more resistant to dents from falling objects.
